Beverage Can Bottom Color

(11-03-2011) Via Paseo Verde Piquillo Itsaslur and mountain biking - Zona Muskiz - Onton

We have come to the coast specifically to Muskiz to walk around the cliffs along the route of the walk Itsaslur and Via Verde del Piquillo.

A map (click on image to enlarge):

We left the car in the parking lot of the beach sand and assemble on our "donkeys."

On the left is a track signposted as part of the Camino de Santiago in its passing for Biscayan land. We take it for a few meters until ...

... we will give the same beach. Here turn push the bike up the walkway that looks beyond the bottom.

Across the runway.

you cross is on the right, a marked deviation shows us the way forward.

plays in the first zone to push the bike to climb these stairs (they have one of the margins of a small channel to fit in there to push the bike and more comfortable).

We left the stairs, we boarded and began to walk the walk Itsaslur.

views over the beach sand.

The route is almost flat: it is a walk without any difficulty going along the old mining railway line.

Turning to the height of the former Castle landing: here is carried in English ships from the ore mines Kobaron bound for British foundries. The steel structure that formed the cargo area was destroyed by a storm in March 2008.

A look from the landing to the beach of the Arena.

We always enjoy the coastal views.

Passing by an old area of \u200b\u200bseaweed extraction.

Kobaron Old mining remnants, at this point there is a parking (quite dirty, by the way) that is where the ride ends and begins Itsaslur Piquillo Via Verde.

Kobaron continued on road signs along the Camino de Santiago.

always stuck to the coast, enjoying the views.

cross this tunnel ...

... and on the other side catches our attention, almost hanging over the sea, the unmistakable fluoride factory.

Reaching Kobaron.

Top (for us end) of the Via Verde del Piquillo.

and continue by road to the crossing that leads to general Onton, but we had to do the driving on asphalt so we decided to go back on our heels.

same but in reverse and with better weather:

Beach Arena and behind the peaks of The Rock (left) and Montano (right).

arrived by road to the crossing of the general to take us back to the parking lot of the Sand Beach where we will put an end to this nice bike ride along the coast of Bizkaia.
