Why Does My Chest When I Exercise

Cantabrian Cordillera (01/15/2011) VENTOSA PEÑA (1,434 m) - La Hermida Gorge area - Valle de Liebana (Cantabria)

Today we come with the crew of the mountain to the small town of Salarzón to attempt the ascent to one of the most striking mountains of the Valle de Liebana and located just outside (left hand) the gorge of La Hermida ( Breads sense to Potes): The Pena Ventosa.

Crossing Salarzón, with the massive limestone alla Pena Ventosa in the background.

a map of the ascension (click on image to enlarge):

just outside the town we entered the comfortable trail that runs through the forest.

This sometimes opens and offers a panorama of peaks of good, good.

Continuing along the track are going to give this signalized intersection, continue straight up towards the area of \u200b\u200bYew Braña and Pena Ventosa, while the right track is the one that stands up to this point from the town of San Pedro de Bedoya.

Met the confluence of the track comes from Salarzón (right) with another (this wider than the previous crossing) that also comes up from San Pedro de Bedoya (left).

Paradita to have a beer while we contemplate the always spectacular Picos wall.

Come "parriba."

Following the trail we reached the end ramps that give access to the hill Taruey.

Panoramica Taruey and around the hill. We turn left to ascend a small peak (, name unknown and I could not find .... help, please) located above the nearby shack.

From this small rocky prominence on which there is a steel cross in the foreground we can see the top of the Moors Molin and his right to reach the hill to continue road to Windy.

A fabulous day with stunning scenery.

We came to the hill and I spotted the goal of the day.

gradually changed from green to gray.

will have to travel all this first part of rock ridge to reach the steep hillside.

without difficulty but carefully.

Yellow dots indicate the path to follow to reach the top. The first thing that will make the hillside.

Once this stretch (with milestones - green circle) have to overcome a small rocky prominence to achieve the key step: the little hill from the bottom.

drawn on rock ledge that step Boxed (easy, without complications).

A few meters to descend below the step approach.

To achieve the small hill you have to overcome this stretch does not present great difficulty only at one point you have to help for a couple of feet with hands to achieve a more comfortable zone.
We

across the small hill and bordered flagstone area with no problems.

And then to overcome this area we have the last part of the ascent:

overcome this steep scree ...

... and up along the channel (easy) to take us out a few meters from the top.

Silvia, Luis Alvaro and out of the canal and less than a minute ...
top

... Pena Ventosa (1,434 m).

Boasting one of our slogans: "Good top ... better lunch."

A modest peak altitude, but that has nothing to send in a matter of overlooking any around him.

That if there will rarely have to be people here in the middle of January, almost anything short sleeves and no wind (for something called Pena Ventosa).

After multiple meats, a couple of bottles of champagne and some good red wine ....

... undertake the descent.

Mindful of the way ...

gone ..... and undoing what

Three of us reached the Molin of the Moors and Peak right parasternal
beyond the bottom
Taruey Road hill.

And enjoy the fall

Coming to town we can see in front of the key areas Pena Ventosa ascension.

Beautiful sunset.

And finally we come to Salarzón with the mission accomplished and a muuuuuuy dissappointed.
